Today, identity crisis has become a buzz word. Psychologists have suggested that many of the problems that we deal with in life result from distorted identity. And many people continue to struggle. Yet they want to be delivered from their pain.
Understand this: Your heavenly Father gives you a new identity.
This identity comes from your relationship with your heavenly Father through Jesus. It is a gift from God based on Jesus’ substitutionary work on the cross on for you.
You receive this gift by faith. Entirely by faith.
It is not dependent on any any good actions on your part. None.
When you receive this gift it launches you in the supernatural.
You are now a child of God. You are born from above. Born of God. You are a new creation. Endowed with the very nature of God. You are a partaker of his divine nature. His Holy Spirit comes to live in you. He makes all the blessings and resources of heaven available to you.
Therefore know that you are not ordinary. You are not mediocre.
You are unique. One of a kind. “Fearfully and wonderfully made” (Ps. 139:14). God’s own masterpiece. His crowning jewel. He has crowned you with love and mercy (Ps. 103:4).
Believe in your new identity. Embrace it and rejoice and be glad.
You are who your heavenly Father says you are. He is now your very own Father. He is the person who knows you completely and perfectly. Listen to what he says; if earthly parents know how to give good gifts to their children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good gifts to us when we ask (Lk. 11:13).
This new identity affords you all the rights and privileges of a child of God. Abundant life is now yours. Jesus purchased it for you. Eternal life – the highest kind of life is yours.
It is life with God eternally. For he delivered you from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of his beloved son (Col 1:13). So that you are heirs with the Father and joint-heirs with Jesus (Rom. 8:17).
All the blessings of God is yours to enjoy. “He richly gives us everything to enjoy richly” (1 Tim. 6:17). Favour, success, prosperity is all yours.
Your heavenly Father delights in your prosperity. Live every day with a prosperity mind set. It is your right. You are moving beyond the natural. You are in the “super” league.
