For the next 7 days we will examine the 7 keys to become super you.
Today we will look at the first key.
1. relationships
We were made for relationships. God created us for love relationship with himself and with others. Relationships are the foundation of life. We were made from relationship for relationships.
Even if our families were dysfunctional the pattern does not have to continue. We have the power to make right choices and change things for the better. Did you know that every family in heaven and earth is named from our heavenly Father? (Eph. 3:14-15).
You were created for rich, wonderful relationships. Rich relationships are about love, kindness, affirmation, validating, praise, compliments, understanding , acceptance, intimacy, trust, warmth in both verbal and non-verbal communication.
Do not settle for less.
Your heavenly Father has wonderful things to say about your relationship. He loves you unconditionally. You are his beloved.
Nothing in all creation can separate you from his love. Nothing.
Consider some of the negative things that could happen to us. Not death. Not life. Not angels. Not principalities. Not powers. Not things present. Not things to come. Not height. Not depth. Not any other created thing. absolutely nothing (Rm. 8:38-39).
Know that you are secure by the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus. The relationship with Christ gives us acceptance and security.
When you know that you are loved. You can freely receive and give love. Sometimes we are afraid to give love. We may feel very vulnerable. We may think that our expression of love will not be reciprocated. And sometimes it may not. But rejection should not prevent us from giving love.
That’s who we are. We are children of Love. For God is love.
We must freely and generously give love to everyone. one of the great commandments is to “love our neighbor as ourselves” when it pertains to intimate relationships, we should be careful and choose wisely. We should surround ourselves with people who will validate and empower us to be our very best.
Let’s consider the Bible. It is indeed a love book. In its pages our heavenly Father gushes out his love for us. Consider this: He lavishes his love upon us and call us his children (1 Jn. 3). What kind of picture comes to mind? What beautiful words!
You want to ensure that you are cultivating healthy, supportive relationships. Where you feel good and think good about your partner. You want to be kind, affectionate and considerate. Learning to appreciate and forgive others as necessary.
Love is the key. For God is love (1 Jn. 4:7-21). When we abide in love, we are in fact abiding in God, for God is love (1 Jn. 4:16).
Let’s do it. Let’s keep on loving! For when we do, we become super you.
