So that it will go well for you and your family. And you will be blessed with all the good things he provides. Therefore, when you obey his commands, it will go well with you and your children, because you will be doing what is good and right in the sight of the Lord (Deut. 12:28).
Certainly we have heard that God can do all things. And that is true. But when it comes to God’s character, it must be untainted. Most definitely all things are created and sustained by God’s words. His words denote his character. The very foundation of his throne is based on his character. It is irrefutable. Of the highest integrity. Even if we are faithless, God remains true i.e. faithful to his righteous character (2 Tim. 2:13 AMP ; Ps. 89:14; Heb. 1:3).
5 Shockingly Simple Impossibilities for God; Know ?: God’s Words
Of course, God and his words are one. He honors his name and his words above all else. God’s words are living. All of his words are truth. And they are powerful. His words are not arbitrary. They accomplish things in heaven and on earth. Heaven and earth will pass away but his words will not pass away. They are eternal (Ps. 138:2 ; Heb. 4:12 ; Jn. 17:17 ; Mat. 24:35). Kenyons.org
The imagery we get with the phrase “the grass withers and the the flowers fall” brings to vision a perfectly manicured lawn in the summer. However as the seasons change so does the beautiful garden disappear. But the word of God is not like that. There is a sharp contrast here. With the temporary nature of life on earth and the enduring nature of the words. The words abide forever. Even if we are faithless, God remains true (faithful to his words). Therefore we can trust his words (Isa. 40:8; 1 Pet. 1:24-25; 2 Tim. 2:13 AMP).
5 Shockingly Simple Impossibilities for God; Know?: The 5 Impossibilities
Here’s the list:
- 1. God cannot lie. As a matter of fact, it is impossible for God to lie. God is truth. He is not a man that he should lie. Certainly if it was known that God could lie, he could not be trusted. We could not be certain that we are his children by faith in Jesus. Nor could we know that we have eternal life. Therefore we could not rely on his promises to bless us and our families. (Num. 23:19; Tit. 1:2; Heb. 6:18). want answers speedily? follow 4 easy how to steps
- 2. God cannot change. That is, he is immutable. His character does not change. We know what to expect of him. He said that, he is the Lord, and he does not change. Jesus is the same, yesterday, today and forever. God remains the same forever. (Mal. 3:6; Ps. 102:27). He is steadfast, loyal and committed in his loving kindness to us. Take for example, the physical laws that govern the earth. God is faithful to keep them constant. Listen to him , “as long as the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, summer and winter, day and night will never cease” (Gen. 8:22). The physical earth will be replaced with a new one. And heaven will come down to earth (Rev. 21).
- 3. God cannot die. God is life. His nature is life. Everything about him is living. Life is always exploding in , through and around him. Indeed he is the giver of life to all his creatures. God hates death. For death is completely opposite to his nature. Death entered the human family through sin by our first parents – Adam and Eve. That’s why he sent Jesus to conquer death and give us his nature – eternal life. Therefore, death is an enemy and will be abolished forever. God is immortal and eternal (Jn. 5:26; Gen. 2:7-9; Acts 17:25 ; PS. 36:9).
- 4. God cannot sin. Sin is missing the mark of God’s standards. Surely, it is because of God’s love for us that Christ came to die. So that our sins would be forgiven. And we would be restored to loving relationship with our heavenly Father. “God made him (Jesus) who had no sin to become sin for us, so that in Jesus we would become the righteousness of God” (1 Jn. 3; 2 Cor. 5:21).
- 5. God always keeps his promises. If he reneged on his promises, he could not be considered credible and trust worthy. What’s more he would be relegated to mere humans. Since his standard of holiness would be irreparable. “There has not failed one word of all his good promise” (1 Kings 8:56). Abraham had faith in God’s promise. Even though he and his wife had long past child bearing age God was faithful. He performed a miracle in their lives to bring about his promise (Rm. 4:18-23). Certainly, he will do the same for you. He does not show favoritism (Rm. 2:11). For Abraham’s faith was accredited to us too when we believe in his promises. “Therefore the Lord longs to be gracious to you” (Isa. 30:18). Although it may take some time, you can be assured that he will deliver. So believe his promises and receive his abundant goodness.
